Sierra Music Rolls of Reno, Nevada, is owned and operated by Bob and Ginny Billings.

We have been interested in player pianos (and other automatic musical instruments) since we were kids. We began collecting player pianos and piano rolls in 1968 and now have a large collection of rolls.

The old original piano rolls are 80 to 100 years old and many have become quite fragile, so we decided to copy them onto new, better paper so they can be played without worrying about damaging them.

Although others were already doing this, their methods didn't accurately reproduce the exact perforations in the original rolls, so we started from scratch and designed a system that would do this. We began the design in 1998 and started making rolls in 2000.
